Yeah, I'm aware of the financial reality aspect, but even a few more pages of black-and-white maps could have made a serious difference.

And thanks especially for the link!Keith Robisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04765318239070312590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36768584.post-61175410947489767312017-06-13T10:33:08.181-04:002017-06-13T10:33:08.181-04:00P.S. as to Inuit maps, there is an excellent onlin...P.S. as to Inuit maps, there is an excellent online source at the Inuit Heritage Trust site.Russell Potterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11023313195827310776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36768584.post-86147490262020065432017-06-13T10:31:32.357-04:002017-06-13T10:31:32.357-04:00Ice Ghosts did not win a Pulitzer Prize. And, although I'm the author of a competing book on the same subject, the maps question has been asked of my book, and many others on Arctic historical subjects. The simple truth is that to have a custom-made map of real quality -- which would really require color and shading and so forth -- is very expensive, and many publishers try to get by with fewer or smaller or less detailed black-and-white maps. It's a situation that can be as frustrating to authors as to readers!Russell Potterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11023313195827310776noreply@blogger.com
